Our paper about secrets distributed in mobile apps has been accepted at CCS 2025.

We are excited to announce that our paper, Leaky Apps: Large-scale Analysis of Secrets Distributed in Android and iOS Apps, by David Schmidt, Sebastian Schrittwieser, and Edgar Weippl, has been accepted at the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS 2025).

In this work, we investigate the secrets distributed in mobile apps. Specifically, we study (1) the files distributed in mobile apps, (2) the secrets leaked within those files, (3) the differences between Android and iOS apps, and (4) how the situation changed from 2023 to 2024. For more details, take a look at our paper.
