Opening Ceremony of AsTra
The opening ceremony of the lab took place on June 10th at the University of Vienna.
We’re happy to announce that the official opening ceremony of the CDL AsTra took place on June 10th. The event was held in the Senate Hall at the University of Vienna, with around forty attendees. The welcome address was delivered by Univ.Prof. Dr. Maier, Vice Rector for Digitalization and Knowledge Transfer, followed by MR Dr. Unterer, Vice President of the Christian Doppler Research Association and Head of Key Technologies Department at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs, Hermann Heinrich, BA, Key Technologies Advisor at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs, and Univ.Prof. Dr. Gansterer, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science.
An overview of the planned research of the lab was given by the head of the laboratory, Dr. Schrittwieser, Dr. Pacher, CTO of industrial partner fragmentiX Storage Solutions GmbH, Prof. Dr. De Sutter from the University of Gent as well as Caroline Lawitschka, BA and Dr. Raubitzek.
